My composing work in circus is mostly connected with the dance
side of things, although I am personally interested in the physical
performance. I have made some clown/theatre pieces exploring
an intersection between improvisation, sound art and physical
theatre.
Worked with
RaaRaa Zoo
and two fantastic Chinese teachers from the Peking Opera, playing
samples, cello and electric guitar with a small chamber type
group.
My first and last big top was with Desperate
Men,
6 steamy weeks outside the Natural History Museum playing
Cello, electronics and amplified watering cans.
Since provided recorded scores for Slackdance,
Matilda
Leyser
and performed live with John-Paul
Zaccarini.
